2011 SBC

Posted by Pastor on June 10, 2011

We are a Southern Baptist church, but did you know the Southern Baptist Convention only exists for two days each year? That’s right, the SBC is not “a Church”, it is a convention of churches cooperating for missions. So, the Southern Baptist Convention is only when those churches are convening to conduct their mutual business of funding missions. Various agencies of the SBC are empowered to act on our behalf during the year, but in 2011 the SBC will only be visible on June 14-15.

There will be no Wednesday services on June 15, because we want everyone to attend or be in prayer for the SBC.

Here is a link to the annual meeting website, which will include news and live video of what is happening:

Messiah in the Passover

Posted by Office on March 10, 2010

CFJ_LogoCamp Verde Baptist Church welcomes CFJ Ministries on Wednesday March 17, 2010 to present “Messiah in the Passover.”  Richard Toviah will teach about the Jewish Passover, it’s historical, prophetic, and spiritual implications for the person of faith today.

The Jewish people have celebrated Passover for over 34 centuries. The Messiah in the Passover presentation links the observance of the first Passover to the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus, the Passover Lamb. Scripture as well as the visual items are used to walk through a Jewish Passover Seder, weaving the story of the Exodus together with the life, death, burial and resurrection of Messiah.

The public is welcome to this free community event.
